Commercial Water Applications

Commercial Reverse Osmosis Systems

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is one the most convenient and economical methods of reducing unwanted contaminants in your drinking water. Reverse Osmosis is the process by which water molecules are forced, by water pressure, thought a semi permeable membrane.

Most of the impurities and other contaminants are rinsed to the drain while the refined water is routed to a special holding tank.

The Besco Commercial Reverse Osmosis application is designed for enterprise and industrial customers requiring high purity water, that is 98-99% salt reduction. The Besco systems have nominal output capacities of 10,800-28,800 GPD or 36,000-432,000 GPM. Our installations feature horizontally installed membrane housings for maximum product output and minimal floor space requirements. To reduce installation time Besco offers skid-mounted packages that will save on the project’s costs. Our flexible design provides your installation with simple customization to fit reduced space requirements too.

Client: Gratiot Finishing-Detroit, MI Plating Company

Client Challenge:
A call came in from Gratiot Finishing in Detroit, MI. They were experiencing a problem with their outdated auto deionization system. The runs in between regenerations were short and the quality of the water was not acceptable. This would cause the processed parts to build up with dissolved solids. The customer then had to have staff physically clean the parts prior to shipping increasing labor costs.

Besco Solution:
Besco performed a complete analysis of their needs including the cost of operation and repairs of the existing D.I. system versus utilizing R/O technology. Besco then proposed a reverse osmosis system with de-chlorination and water softening pre-treatment along with a re-pressurization system. The R/O technology was able to provide the quantity and quality of water that was required for their processing needs. In addition to meeting the customer’s needs in regards to water quality, the customer has realized significant savings in water and chemical costs.
