Pro Pot Perm® Potassium is a strong oxidizing agent that converts dissolved iron and/or manganese to insoluble oxides which can be easily removed through filtration. The most common method of introducing Pro Pot Perm® Potassium to the filter involves making a solution and applying automatically or manually at regular intervals. Iron buildup is not totally removed during normal regeneration of a water softener. Pro Rust Out® dissolves the iron in the mineral bed and is rinsed from the softener, much the same as salt brine. Recommended regular use to ensure the softening and recharging efficiency of the water softener’s resin bed.
