Pro Pot Perm® Potassium is a strong oxidizing agent that converts dissolved iron and/or manganese to insoluble oxides which can be easily removed through filtration. The most common method of introducing Pro Pot Perm® Potassium to the filter involves making a solution and applying automatically or manually at regular intervals. Regenerates and oxidizes iron filter media, restoring the exchange capacity of the water softener unit “Free Flow” grade has a silicon dioxide additive that keeps the product flowing easily in high moisture environments Composed of NSF certified material to meet Standard 60: Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals

Pro Res Care® will chemically clean a fouled resin bed of a water softener and restore the exchange capacity of the resin. Most types of water softening resins can become fouled with iron and other contaminants that will effect the performance of the ion exchange system. Iron fouling can cause channeling, pressure drop, loss of capacity, hardness and iron leakage. Regular use of Pro Res Care® will minimize fouling and extend the resin life in the water softener. Iron buildup is not totally removed during normal regeneration of a water softener. Pro Rust Out® dissolves the iron in the mineral bed and is rinsed from the softener, much the same as salt brine. Recommended regular use to ensure the softening and recharging efficiency of the water softener’s resin bed.
